1. Foreword

This section contains information on the methods used by italplant.it for the processing of italplant.it user data.

This information statement is also valid for the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Code (art. 13 Legislative Decree no. 196/2003) for persons who interact with italplant.it and can be found at the home page www.italplant.it The information statement is provided for italplant.it and does not apply to any other websites the user may browse via links contained therein.

The purpose of this document is to provide information on the methods, lengths of time and nature of information which data controllers must provide users with when they connect to the website italplant.it, irrespective of the purposes of said connection, in compliance with Recommendation no. 2/2001, adopted by European personal data protection authorities and set forth in art. 29 of directive no. 95/46/EC adopted on 17th May 2001 for the collection of personal data online.

2. Data processing

Data Controller:

During the use of italplant.it, data regarding identified or identifiable persons may be processed in order to provide or improve services, including basic ones such as identifying the language of use, up to more complex services. The data controller is Italplant S.r.l. based in: Via dell’agricoltura n° 10,25032 – Chiari (BS)

Place

The processing of data generated by the use of italplant.it takes place at the data controller’s office and is conducted by persons appointed by the latter. If necessary, data regarding the newsletter service may be processed by the data processor or persons appointed by the latter and for the same purpose, at relative offices.

Cookies

Cookies are data which are sent by italplant.it to the user’s internet browser, which memorises and resends them to the website upon the next visit.
They can be used to monitor sessions, authenticate users so that they can access a website without needing to type in their name and password, and to memorise their preferences.
There are many types of cookies, classified according to technical features, durability, provenance and function.

Technical cookies

There are numerous technologies used to store information in the user’s computer, which are then collected by websites. The most well-known and widely used ones are HTML cookies.
They are used for browsing purposes, to facilitate website access and use by users. They are necessary for the transmission of correspondence on the electronic network, i.e. to the provider, for the provision of services requested by the customer.
Settings for managing or disabling cookies vary according to the internet browser used.
In any case, the user can manage or request the overall disabling or deletion of cookies by modifying the own internet browser settings. Disabling may slow down or prevent access to some parts of the website.
The use of technical cookies ensures secure and efficient website use.
Cookies entered in the browser and retransmitted by Google Analytics or via the Statistics service by Blogger or similar can only be considered technical if used for the purpose of website optimisation directly by the website owner, who may collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and on how they visit the website. Under said conditions, the same rules for information statements and consent apply to analytics cookies as those for technical cookies.

Persistent cookies

In terms of duration, cookies can be divided into temporary session cookies which are automatically deleted at the end of each browsing session and serve the purpose of identifying the user and therefore saving them from having to log into every single page they visit, and permanent ones, which remain active in the pc until they expire or are deleted by the user.
Session cookies can be installed to grant authenticated users access to reserved areas of the portal.
They are not memorised in a persistent manner, rather they are memorised solely for browsing session duration, until the browser is closed, at which point they disappear. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session ID consisting of random numbers generated by the server, necessary for safe and efficient website browsing.

Third-party cookies

As regards provenance, cookies can be divided into those sent directly to the browser by the website being visited, and third-party ones sent to the computer by websites other than the one being visited.
Permanent cookies are often third-party cookies.
Most third-party cookies are profiling cookies used to identify online behaviour, understand interests and thus customise advertising for users. italplant.it uses the following cookies:
Security cookies and traffic analysis cookies

Analytical and profiling third-party cookies may be installed. They are sent from third party domains, external to the website.
Third-party analytical cookies are used to detect information on the behaviour of users on italplant.it. Detected information remains anonymous and is used to monitor performance and improve website usability. Third-party profiling cookies are used to create user profiles, to propose advertising messages in line with choices manifested by said users.
The use of this type of cookie is disciplined by third party rules, therefore it is recommended the user reads the privacy information statement and instructions for the management and disabling of cookies published on relative web pages.

Navigation Data

During normal operation, the IT systems and software procedures used to power this web site acquire some personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This is information that has not been collected for the purpose of associating it with individual users, but which by its very nature may enable the identification of users, through processing and associations with data in the possession of third parties.
This data category includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the website, the URIs of requested resources, request times, the method used to submit requests to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code specifying the status of the response provided by the server and other parameters pertaining to the operative system and the user’s computerised environment.
Said data is used for the sole purpose of receiving anonymous statistical information on website use and to check for correct operation. Data is deleted immediately after processing.
Data may be used to ascertain liability in the event of damage to the website incurred by any cases of cyber crime: apart from the aforementioned, currently web contact data does not persist for longer than seven days.

Data disclosed by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of emails to addresses indicated on this site entails the successive acquisition of the sender’s address which is required to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data contained in the message.
Specific summary information shall be progressively included and displayed on pages of the website created for specific services upon request.

3. Optional nature of data disclosure

The user is always free to provide personal data requested for the sending of information material, unless necessary for browsing.
Failure to confer said data may result in the user being unable to obtain what they request.

4. Processing procedures

Personal data is processed using automated instruments for a length of time that is strictly required, in order to achieve the purposes for which it was collected.

5. Rights of the interested parties

Information on the content, origin, exactness, integration, updating, i.e. the correction of data is available to the owner of said data, who can also ascertain the existence thereof in italplant.it files upon filing a request to this effect. Pursuant to the aforementioned, users are entitled to request cancellation, transformation to anonymous form or blocking of any data processed in breach of the law, and in any case can object to data processing for legitimate reasons.
